(Generally speaking, nowhere either on the GOG store page for a game or in your library will the game's (or patch's) current version number appear, only the version number for its installer.)ĮDIT 2: THE QUICKENING: Aaaannd I just now saw that you DID also make your own thread for more or less this very question. HunchBluntley: If you're talking about the version number which appears in your GOG library where you downloaded the game, that's not the game version, it's the installer version.

Personally I like reinstall the game with each update that allows me to test the files before I store them away.

In rare cases it's sometimes necessary to download the complete new installer - but lots of us like to anyway for archival purposes. Going from the previous update works too! i.e. You don't have to reinstall the game to update Warband from 1.162 base -> 1.164 (latest)

Just get the latest installer and the latest patch - in most cases. It will also say if a problem has occurred - in which case you should re-install. The installer will say if it can / can't. Updates & patches that GoG release will usually update any version of the game. Sorry if I'm in the wrong place here but I just wanted to ask if it is best policy overall to load the entire game as well as the patch every time a new patch comes out? Or is it enough just to download only the patch? This goes for all games generally not just mount and blade.

Hope all my rambling helps somewhat! EDIT: Ah, yes, and welcome to GOG!ĮDIT 2: THE QUICKENING: Aaaannd I just now saw that you DID also make your own thread for more or less this very question. Fewer people wander into threads like this once they're marked "SOLVED", so you're unlikely to get as many replies as you might in some other thread - as you may well have noticed. =) Try checking out some of the other threads here, or head to ' forums, where I'm sure there's a larger and more active community presence.Īnd if you can't find a thread in these forums that deals with your specific question, it's usually better to start a new "question/problem" thread - or at least to post in a regular, non-question thread - than to post your own question, however related, in someone else's already resolved question thread.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to check out this thread if you haven't, and maybe reply to or PM JudasIscariot, or just go through GOG support.Īs to installing Warband mods (or anything to do with Macs, for that matter), I can't help you there. (Though this game's installer is by no means one of the bigger ones on GOG, so the "re-download" part shouldn't be that big of a deal.)
MOUNT AND BLADE WARBAND 1.174 PATCH DOWNLOAD MAC
If there's no separate game patch for the Mac version, and you KNOW the game's been updated since you first downloaded it, then you'll have to bite the bullet and re-download the whole installer and re-install the game. (Generally speaking, nowhere either on the GOG store page for a game or in your library will the game's (or patch's) current version number appear, only the version number for its installer.) If you're talking about the version number which appears in your GOG library where you downloaded the game, that's not the game version, it's the installer version. And it supposedly says version 2.0.0.9 which i don't understand because i have never heard of such a version. While the game has been out for quite some time, the huge player base and active modding scene mean it is still a popular choice in both multiplayer and single player formats.Na4989: How can i patch my M&B Warband i purchased from GOG for mac? Mods don't seem to load properly for my version.

The action takes place on various battlefields with players giving orders to hundreds of troops and jumping into the fray themselves with a huge variety of weapons and armour. Join one or set up on your own, build an army and win lords to your side. Join a faction, become a tradesman, farm or simply ride across the land amongst a number of warring factions fighting for control of the numerous towns and villages. Mount&Blade: Warband is unique in that there are no levels, princesses to save or epic legends to fulfil.

Players create their distinctive avatar, choose their attributes and are then let loose on the land. The game distinguishes itself by its realistic action and near complete lack of story-driven elements.

Mount&Blade: Warband is an open-world RPG where players fight for control of the land of Calradia.
